My Simple Pleasure Beginning With Q: Quietude

Quietude is one of my simple pleasures. Yes, that is the way it is spelled. The few times I saw or heard the word I heard it pronounced “quietitude” till my spellchecker taught me otherwise.

Quietude is a state of stillness, calmness, and quiet in a person or place, according to Wikipedia. For those who don’t know me well, I often seem rather loquacious, (I am into big words today!) And truly there is a part of me who loves to talk. But there is another side of me that most do not see.

So here are some of my favorite photos which communicate quietude.
