During times like these it is so easy for some people to hate others who are different from themselves or have different political, religious, or ethical standards. But we need to remember that God, (Spirit, Creator or however you name him) made us all. Some were given certain talents or skills or wisdom or physical or mental abilities. But those differences should not be used to divide us. We need to appreciate those differences and learn from those who are different from us instead of putting them in the proverbial “Box” to be hated, judged, or segregated from ourselves.
Everyone is on their own path with their own level of understanding or spiritual growth. We start out as babies, learning the basics of physical development. Then our brain takes in all the stimulii and makes sense of it all some how.
Then as we grew some more we begin to understand emotional behaviors, and how to deal with them. Then as a teeneager we learned more adult skills. We wouldn’t have been able to function as adults if we were still children. So these functions and ways of thinking and living have to wait for us to grow into them.
Likewise some people are on different planes of understanding and growth both emotionally and spiritually. Likewise people from different cultures and countries may have a different outlook on God, Spirit, or Creator. God reaches people in the best ways they can understand Him/Her. You wouldn’t be angry at a child who didn’t understand God. So why would you judge someone who had different beliefs from yours?
Nothing will get better until we learn to love our Creator and all of his Children, Red, White, Black or whatever race, sexual orientation, or religious belief.. or political beliefs. We are all at different stages of growth, spritually. And in case you haven’t noticed, people change at different speeds depending on the life they have and their ability or exposure to spiritual teachings.
I don’t understand how some people can hate others enough to kill them, enslave them, use them for their own goals, murder in cold blood, or hurt someone else on purpose. We need to do better or our children’s children will have more danger, hate, and crimes to live with than we have. Things just don’t seem to be getting better when someone kills students at a school; bombs homes and even hospitals, killing children, killing strangers, stealing money from the aged and elderly with scams and greed..
I worry about our grandchildren’s future if things don’t get better soon. If pollution doesn’t stop there will be even more problems that I am not even speaking of. Please care for our world, for she is what gives us the elemental things we need to survive. Love each other and treasure our differences and learn from each other. Everyone has something to learn and teach.
I used to be judgmental of others in my classes in school. I was very conscientious and tried hard to do the right things. I looked down on others who were not behaving well in class or who weren’t studying or trying to learn. Now I look back and wonder what kind of home life or support did some of them have from their parents. Were their parents working hard to support them and teaching by example about responsibility? Growing up helped me understand that not everyone had a loving family like I did. Therefore, how could I judge others when I didn’t even know what they were going through.
The “Love” chapter changed my life and my heart. I heard a minister give a challenge to read this chapter every day/ or night for a year and you will change. I did and I did change. I had more acceptance and less judgement; and more understanding, less suspicion. I tried to see others more like the Creator sees them.
Way of Love (English Standard Version)
I Corinthians, 13
1 .If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Try to put yourself in the other people’s shoes and look at life they way they do to understand them.

It is not the fault of nature that we lose touch of the God ‘within,’ it is the fault of nurture… nature teaches nothing, we merely experience it, and with time, learn to adapt, or create the condition in which to survive… it is nurture therefore, which teaches us how to react to nature… hate, and love is the product of growth, and how we are grown… for no one is born with a hate gene… but without love however, nothing comes into existence… but one can gravitate to either, or aquire their fire by how we are nurtured, sometimes… in a concrete fashion, sometimes akin to second hand smoke…!

Well said. Nurture makes all the difference in who we are and what we become. I think of nature as one form of connection with Creator.

I believe ALL things, bar none, is by way a form of connection to the Creator… for without the Creator, any and everything that we know could never have come into existence…!
