I sat up in the bed as Norie already let me know in no uncertain terms that it was time for her food. The window revealed a chilly, rainy, cloudy morning. Obviously it was going to be a day that would make anyone, if allowed, stay inside, where it was warm and dry. Considering the list of tasks I had formed in my mind, I decided to go ahead and wake up. Norie really would not have left me in limbo making a decision for long.
So I fed her and gave her her medicine and proceeded to take mine. I transferred a load of clothes from the washer to the dryer; and started the already loaded dishwasher. My day began. Or so I thought. While eating breakfast I watched some of the news to be sure that my country hadn’t been attacked by some evil foe and that my world was basically no different than the day before. All was the same except for the weather.
After getting dressed I sat in my recliner and thought of my options. I looked for and saw my Norie sleeping at the top right corner of the bed. Earlier I attempted to make up the bed, but left Norie to sleep with the bed covers up to “her” corner. Who could awaken a beloved, sleeping cat???

I had already showered and gotten dressed for the day. I looked at the clock and realized it was two hours before I needed to go anywhere. Why was I trying to figure out what I should do next?
I began to feel drowsy as I looked at Norie still gently snoring. When she snores it is a sigh with varying pitches of sounds that sounds so cute! There she was sleeping as only a cat can. She was smarter than I was! That’s when I knew what I should do.
I decided to be a cat for at least an hour and lay down next to her. Since she was on the right side of the bed I climbed into the bed from the left side. I nestled in close to Norie and we lay blissfully unaware of the weather or the world or future events of the day.
Yep, I was just another cat sleeping peacefully lying beside another feline friend for close to an hour. What a way to start my day!

so cute!

I love it! One can’t beat a cat nap with a cat.

Thanks, Mags. She is 14 years old and does give me many opportunities to nap with her. LOL!
