Forgiveness is something that can come with time. But self love and self care come first. Once you can see and understand a good bit about yourself, you can learn to forgive yourself for wrongdoings and mistakes. We all have to learn not to beat ourselves up emotionally or mentally over a transgression or error. Nobody is perfect. We are all human.
I admit that there are people that I cannot forgive. People like Hitler, Putin, Trump, and all the others who revel or have reveled in the suffering of other people and even animals.
When we all can forgive ourselves we can learn better to forgive others. I don’t hate people who disagree with me. They have a right to believe as they feel or are led to believe. I think in the past, I had to go through this similar path and gain some understanding to learn that I truly understood the motivation or observations of those who hadn’t “found their paths.”
I have been moving along this path of understanding and wisdom to get to the goal and have finally attained more understanding of myself and other people too.
Somewhere during my twenties and thirties, I lost my confidence in my abilities to think and to understand some things about life. Since my husband’s death, I have grown to a higher level of confidence. I can figure out some of the simpler puzzles of life and existence and continue to grow and find confidence from my experiences, learning more wisdom.
I have learned to feel at ease in my own existence and way of living and to continue to find more self-confidence, as I interact with fellow human beings, life and the world. I actually love myself more and am enjoying my existence
I had to go through a lot of experiences to get where I am now. We all make mistakes. We also need to forgive ourselves and apologize when we’ve hurt someone else. If I had never gone through the experiences and understanding that I attained, I would never have gotten to the point of wisdom that I was working towards all along.
If I hadn’t lost my confidence I would likely never have been able to enjoy seeing the me that I am today at seventy-five years of age.
Be aware of yourself and your thoughts and feelings. Analyze what’s happening in your life and work to make it better and wiser.
I am thankful every day to wake up, read, write, study, enjoy my family, friendships, nature, and whatever activities need to be done. I thank God for the help I receive every day to learn, understand, enjoy, be in awe of the amazing world we live in and the Creator who made it all happen.
