This is the story of my two sons and the wonderful families they have. I am one thankful, joyful, happy, mother and grandmother. I have enjoyed watching my two sons grow into adults and marry two wonderful women!

Our firstborn child to my husband and me  was our son, M., who was an adorable little boy who grew up and after elementary school and junior high school started high school. While M. was in high school, he met a younger man, D. while they rode the school bus to their homes. D. and M. liked each other and called each other, “Bro.” D. rode the school bus home with M. many times. I fixed after school snacks for them. They both loved anime and got along well.

My husband and I loved D. and we took him on short trips sometimes. My husband taught D. how to use computers and he now works for the state of North Carolina.

First D. met his future wife, Ca. in high school. She graduated a year before D. and moved to Western Carolina University. He followed the next year after graduating from high school. My husband was an ordained minister and married D and Ca at the university. They now have three children: L.  eleven years old who plays soccer, F. nine years ol, who is learning karate, and E., seven years old, who is taking dance lessons. Each grandchild loves their big house and yard.

M. met, dated and married Ce. She was studying to be a veterinarian. They both loved anime conventions and have enjoyed creating costumes. M. proposed to Ce. at an anime convention and she accepted his offer. They have a sweet, male golden retriever and live fifty minutes away from me. We stay in touch and they help me take care of my finances.

My husband taught D. how to use computers, which has become his career. M. and D. became good friends.                                  

Year’s later after my husband’s death in 2009 from congestive heart failure and D.’s parents’ deaths, I asked M. if he would like for me to adopt D. M. liked the idea and after the papers for adoption for D., were filed out, he became my adopted son.                                    

D. married Ca. and they have three children. Each one is growing up so fast! The oldest grandson, L. is at least eleven and plays soccer. The younger son, F. is about nine and learning karate  The youngest is the daughter, E. who is almost seven and taking dancing lessons.

D and his family now live an hour and thirty minutes east of my home. They live on a large plot of land with fruit trees, chickens, ducks, a vegetable garden, a huge play area with a swing, sliding board and a trampoline. There is a long driveway with a home at the front of the road, where my daughter-in-law’s mother lives. D.’s aunt had a new home built half way up the driveway to the family home with a large garage.

I love these three grandchildren so much. My second son and his family came to see me the other day and treated me to lunch with him and his family. I was so excited to see them again. I love my two sons and their wonderful wives and families.

So now I have two married sons, who have wives with doctorate degrees. Both wives have names that start with C.  I am so proud of them all. M. and his wife didn’t have children but have a golden retriever. They live a happy life. Mike has a good job. Ce is a veteranarian.

I am so thankful to have this wonderful family!!
