I Love the Life I Have

If you could switch lives with a famous person for a week, who would it be and why?

After going through a rough time with my deceased husband after fifteen of my twenty-five year marriage, facing changes in his personality for the worse and finding out it was diabetes dementia,  I had to learn how to stand up for myself.

I learned to be stronger and wiser after he passed away from uncontrolled diabetes. I finally saw who I really am deep inside. I am intelligent, kind, friendly, love people, nature, animals, good friends, and two wonderful sons with two wonderful daughters-in-law (one son and his wife have three lovely grandchildren.

I have a good life now. I am so happy and thankful for where I am now compared to what I went through so much from my husband. I moved from a condo with nice people to a senior living place. There are lots of activities, lots of really nice people to talk and eat with in the communal dining room.

My best feature, I think, is that I truly am very kindhearted and I really love the people I live with here. I was a nurse for thirty-seven years , seventeen of those years were in intensive care and coronary care units. I loved and cared for strangers but the key to my personality is love. I truly cared for those patients as well as those around me. I have helped others just by listening to their stories and life experiences. I am very compassionate about people and animals too. I live who I am now.

  1. Wonderful life you’re living today and wish to continue the same. You have been helping people through their difficult times as a nurse. Happy to hear that, it’s a Nobel work you were doing. May god bless you with happiness and joy 😊
