Well, it seems I am on a roll of strange events. I signed up for a seminar the other night at 7 PM on Zoom. I had the Zoom class number and pass code on my Google Chrome Notebook. So I opened Zoom and entered the needed details. There was no evidence of anything.
It was time for the event and nothing happened. So I figured something was wrong. Sometimes if I am on Zoom on my Notebook with one meeting, the connection stops suddenly on my Notebook. So I referred back to the informational email where the directions said, “Join here.”
I figured maybe the Kindle would require less data and maybe I could get through to a Zoom room on it better. Since I had already signed up, I figured this meant the seminar was on, so I “joined” on my Kindle.
Well, each time I made a submission to “join” the meeting, the screen showed that the submission had been received. But when I tried to enter the pass code, there was nothing but a blank screen! So I just put the Kindle on the padded rug on the plastic, storage boxes with drawers by the bedroom windows.
The seminar was free so I figured maybe I just wasn’t meant to hear it. After doing some other things in another room, I came back and heard people talking quite distinctly and loudly. It sounded like two people right outside my window! I figured they would leave soon and just tuned it out until an hour later. They were still talking! I raised my blinds to see who was outside talking so loudly! I could see no one!
I called my neighbor upstairs and asked her if she heard the talking. She said she hadn’t and offered to look out from her upstairs balcony to see what she could see. She came back saying she had not heard or seen anyone.
Well, what in the world was going on? I walked around close to the windows and listened to the voices to see what they were saying. Suddenly I realized the voices were coming from my Kindle, which I had placed screen down on the storage boxes by my window. When I turned the Kindle over, all of a sudden I saw what had happened.
I evidently had been at the seminar but didn’t know it. I don’t know if it started late or what the problem was. I am just glad the camera was aimed down to the rug on top of the storage boxes!
Then yesterday, I had a slightly different but similar thing happened to me. I uploaded an app with bird sounds on my phone. I hadn’t turned it on.
I got in my car and turned the key in the ignition. Suddenly, I heard bird chirping. I turned off the car and it stopped. When I turned on the motor, the bird chirping started again.
I remembered the bird calls on my phone but had not turned it on yet. Evidently, I accidentally turned on the bird sounds; I checked the phone and saw that the app was on. I turned it off and the bird stopped singing. I have no idea how I turned the app on and left it on.

I so enjoyed hearing your comical story! x

Ah the intricacies of the internet. I liked it better when it was simpler! What scares me is the apps that automatically turn on a camera when you answer a call.

Wow! My phone doesn’t do that, thankfully.

😂😁🤗💕 Your tech stories are hilarious. I wonder how many of us have had similar experiences. The ‘pocket dial’ etc. It took a while for me to get used to my new birdsong ringtones. I’d hear birds singing in stores and finally realize that the people around me were staring at my purse. Oh, just my birds, I said. When I first saw people at the airport talking to themselves I didn’t grasp that they had wireless earbuds. I thought they had a mental challenge. Well, I guess we’ll all soon be talking to projected AI holograms and such with no visible tech in our hands such as cellphones and tablets. I’m looking forward to that as I text too slow with many a spelling mistake. Thanks for sharing your tech experiences. 🤗💕

Wow! Thank you!! You cracked me up with the bird ringtones! I never thought about that one. The app I have is to identify the birds’ songs. The future has some great and some potentially not so great ideas. Knowledge of how to handle these things will surely be needed. I enjoyed your comment. It’s good to know there are others who love birds or get mixed up like me. LOL!

I about died laughing when you wrote how you thought the people with earbuds were mentally challenged!! Those little earbuds can be deceptive in many ways. LOL!

These things happen sometimes. My machines stop working or give problem when I am in a bad mood or stressed out completely. They start functioning properly when I am ok. Even the non living objects react to our vibes.

You must be psychic to some degree. I am more empathic with people. But we each have our special gifts. Thank you for commenting.

No….it doesn’t. Only adds to chaos. Actually God never wants us to know his plans beforehand.
